2011 Volkswagen Beetle R Concept
In 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, Volkswagen will be debuting with the release of the 2011 Volkswagen Beetle R Concept. Volkswagen Beetle R with front and rear bumpers are completely redesigned, and is a generous 30 mm wider than standard. Three chunky air intakes in dark high-gloss finish dominate the front, one center to provide air to the radiator, and the second side to help cool the brakes. Additional engine cooling is provided by vents on both sides of the top of the hood.

Rear wing is also 15 mm wider than standard, helping them flow into the rear bumper deliberately wider, which not only houses a diffuser, but also a quartet of exhaust pipes – two sides. Inside, both the driver and front passenger are held snugly in the hard-shell racing seats wrapped in Nappa leather black nubuck grippy offset by a gray panel. The same seats adorn the individual rear seats. Seat stitching and piping are in the Volkswagen R trademark blue color, while the dashboard accented with high gloss black. The instrument panel highlights the intention of the Volkswagen Beetle R sport: tachometer in the middle (and the speedometer to the side), while on the dashboard of the three additional instruments: oil temperature gauges, chronometers and turbo pressure indicator increases, all with distinctive blue needles. Volkswagen Beetle R will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit that provides 270 PS and 265 PS respectively.
