2012 HPE800 McLaren MP4-12C
Hennessey Performance tuner of Texas, the United States has introduced a package of performance and styling for the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C, and is called the HPE800 package MP4-12C. McLaren MP4-12C in the standard state already has in abundance of power from the engine mid-mounted 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that is rated at 600 PS (592 HP) and 600Nm (442.5 pounds-ft).
However, Hennessey Performance provides a different energy because it believes the MP4-12C can be done with a few extra horses under the hood around 200 hp from them, to be precise. MP4-12C HPE800 Turbo Twin pack to make some changes to the eight-cylinder engines including, but not limited to, titanium exhaust system and upgraded intercooler and air intake system that raised output to 800 hp. Transmission also received some engineering love while HPE800 MP4-12C will rise on new alloys wrapped in Michelin rubber.
Hennessey indicated that he would not touch the suspension and brakes. “HPE do not plan to offer this kind of suspension or brake system upgrade as the factory system will be difficult to fix,” the company said in a statement. Finally, the package will include a ground effects kit that combines CarbonAero new, center-position frontal air inlet with extractor hood, and custom parts available for the interior.
