2012 Subaru Forester S-Edition, specifically intended for the Australian market, and comes with 2.5-liter boxer engine turbocharged to produce 259HP (193kW) and 347 Nm (256 lb-ft) of torque, range-topping model is the most powerful new ever Subaru Forester sold down. Subaru Forester S-Edition combines the best of the two winning formula Subaru WRX and Subaru Forester. The Subaru Forester S-Edition with paddle-shift 5-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all wheels via Variable Torque Distribution Subaru all-wheel drive system. To improve handling, engineers equipped Subaru Forester S-Edition with sports suspension and 17-inch Subaru Tecnica International (STI) alloys wrapped in 225/55 R17 Yokohama rubber. With plenty of torque available from low down – and kept between 2.800 to 4.800 rpm – the Subaru Forester S-Edition sprints to 100 km / h (62 mph) in just 6.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 228 km / 142 hour (mph).

Subaru Forester S-Edition also comes with a black grill, various chrome accents, silver roof rails and, for a limited period, World Rally Blue color options. In the Subaru Forester S-Edition, sport seats covered with a combination of Alcantara and leather, saddle stitching S-Edition is equipped with blue stitching, sporty instrument panel and special gear to set this model apart. Subaru Forester S-Edition is the base price of AUD $ 50,990 (about U.S. $ 51,301 with the current exchange rate). As reported previously, the revised lineup Forester atmospheric engine benefits from new 2.5-liter, capable of 170HP (127 kW) and 235 Nm (174 lb-ft) of torque.

All models Subaru Forester S-Edition feature a redesigned grille, while the dashboard has a dark finish with matching metallic accents. Standard equipment list now contains more seats covered with waterproof cloth trim, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and XS models and above will receive a reversing camera as standard.
