At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show to-82, Ford will introduce a new variant of the concept of van for the next generation of the Ford Transit, 2013 Ford Tourneo Custom Concept. Ford Tourneo Custom Concept is a new concept previews next family van and commercial vehicle markets in Europe and Asia.

“One look Tourneo Custom Concepts is enough to tell you that it will inject a new spirit of interest to the personal use of the segment,” said Stephen Odell, CEO of Ford of Europe.

The exterior of the Ford Tourneo Custom Concept is a modern and adopt the “Kinetic Design” language with the Blue Oval-style treats like a large trapezoidal grille, muscular shoulder line, prominent wheel arches and distinctive window line with a kick in the rear.

“By applying the latest design principles of kinetic, design has a completely new style and drama,” said Paul Campbell, chief designer, Ford of Europe.

Ford Tourneo Custom Concept interior, although it is more contemporary than the current model, very rough around the edges, and can accommodate up to eight passengers in three rows of seats. The prototype is equipped with several facilities including the back seat of a multi-adjustable and removable and SYNC voice-activated, in-car system with connectivity features Emergency Relief.

Ford Tourneo Custom Concept will be equipped with engines 2.2 liter Ford Duratorq TDCi 155PS diesel engine rankings (153HP). Ford said that the Ford Transit production model will be offered with 2.2-liter unit in three power levels – 100ps (99HP), 125PS (123HP) and 155PS (153HP), while various models will include a wide selection of body styles and two wheelbases (SWB and LWB).
