In 2012 Detroit Motor Show, GM as the parent of the Buick will be introducing a sub-compact, the small luxury crossover 2013 Buick Encore, which is a twin of the Opel / Vauxhall Mokka. Buick Encore is based on a modified version of GM’s Gamma II platform architecture that underlies the Chevrolet Spark / Sonic and the next Opel Corsa, Encore size of 4278 mm (168.5 inches) long, 1.774 mm (69.9 inches) wide and 1.646 mm (64, 8 inches) in height. It has a wheelbase of 2555 mm (100.6 inches) and stem volume ranged from 533 to 1.372 l (18.8 to 48.4 cubic inches), depending on whether the rear seats are in place or completely folded. Buick in their press release describes the comparison between the Audi Q3 and BMW X1 – two models that are not currently offered in the United States. (more…)
