GM as the parent of Vauxhall cars has introduced hydrogen fuel-cell powertrain that will be sold in the UK market is, the 2012 Vauxhall hydrogen 4, and took the base of the Chevrolet Equinox. Vauxhall 4 Hydrogen uses fuel cells as electric cars, and drives from 94kW electric motor fed by a ‘stack’ of fuel cells, which extracts electrons from the hydrogen gas stored in the boot-mounted tank. It’s easy and conventional to drive it, and the experience is like an electric car, so there is a virtually silent motor and no teeth to disrupt progress, just a smooth, linear performance as the gas pedal forward into the footwell. Vauxhall has introduced the most powerful car in its class and the fastest of 2013 Vauxhall Astra VXR. Vauxhall Astra VXR is based on the platform, Vauxhall Astra GTC and powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter injection directly, Vauxhall Astra VXR generate 280hp power and 400Nm of torque, enough for it to reach a top speed of 155mph.
